[00:01] Welcome to the Prosperity Podcast. Prosperity thinkers, welcome to the podcast. We’re going to be talking about AI, but specifically robots and what jobs robots will be taking over, what humans will be doing, and where it’s safe, how to change it up. This ties in with our service, our last episode on tariffs. Kim, take it away. Well, I’m a Peter D. Amanda’s follower, as many people know, and his question is not when will you buy a robot for your home, but how many will you have, because they are going to be in the $30,000 a year range, leaseable for $300 a month. He anticipates by, I don’t remember if it was 2026 or 2029, but either way, it is so right around the corner for early adopters, and how fun.
[01:00] Now, yes, I get it. That makes some people scared. Let’s talk about what they’re going to be doing. Well, I can think of an awful lot of stuff around our home and our yard that, and I’m probably a little ahead of the game in this thinking, but I would absolutely love to have somebody be working on it, and we’re talking 24-7. Like, we have this, it’s an ornamental grass, basically, that edges our yard, and we have a rather large yard. I mean, we live in Texas, right? I mean, our yard kind of just goes out into the jungle, but the edge of it is this liriope stuff that my daughter and I planted when she wanted to earn some money to go to South Africa. That was, let’s say, 10 years ago. It needs to be overhauled.
[01:51] I’m not going to get out there and do it. It is a huge job. It will take weeks. It will be expensive to have a human do it. I would love to hire a robot. It’s the perfect kind of thing, right, because it’s super repetitive. Like, go here, pull this plant out, take out the weeds, put the plant back in, basically, over and over and over again. That’s just one example, and in the business world, there are so many examples of repetitive things, dangerous things, things that are dirty and gross and smelly, and again, the danger element of all types of things that can be done, and especially when they’re repetitive. And there’s just very few humans that truly enjoy uber repetitive work. And so here, think about this.
[02:39] We’ve got a human that can maybe do six, seven hours of quality, repetitive work, and not be super happy about it. I mean, maybe for a while, you know, somebody that just kind of needs to plug and do their job and not think, but that’s not where humans really thrive. You can put a robot on that thing for 24-7, over and over and over again, and there will be no sick days and no weekends and, you know, a little downtime to plug back in or whatever, and they’ll just put another robot on the assembly line. So I’m not making light of this. I mean, these are amazing things and kind of confining the conversation specifically to the robot part, because the AI part is just, I mean, that space is so huge.
[03:31] But again, I’ll quote a Peter Diamandis, who’s the person I think that said this. Your job is not going to be taken over by AI for most people. Your job is going to be taken over by a human that works with AI. So figure out how to work with it. Start experimenting and make it fun. Have fun with the experimentation and the utterly amazing things that it can do. Yeah, absolutely. You know, when you were talking about robots and you were talking about the robot doing landscaping tasks, it made me think of two things. One, here’s the cool thing about a robot. It will pass every drug test. You don’t have to worry about it failing a drug test. How great is that? I mean, you know, some industries are a little more difficult than others.
[04:23] So that’s good. Second is this. You mentioned that AI is going to be a human working with the AI. So I would foresee, be it 12 months, 24, 36 months from now, there’s going to be smart landscapers that have trucks full of robot lawnmowers, and they go to someone’s house. The guy goes, puts them in the yard, and then it just does the work, and all he’s doing is swapping batteries. That’s the world we’re going. That’s amazing. That’s awesome. So everyone’s thinking that AI is taking the bottom-level jobs. Might take some. I think accountants, attorneys, other people, that’s a threat. So what does that look like, Kim? If we’re looking at the robot, the AI, how can we get ahead of it? Because you’re ahead of it in this world.
[05:18] Where can our listeners get ahead? Well, it’s such a great question. So I’ll confine the discussion now to the AI part because it’s way easier and literally free to get ahead with, though I’ll have to admit I’m very partial to my $20 a month chat GPT because paying that $20 a month has really separated out the game. Right now today is we’re recording this, and I thank you for it. We did that at your suggestion, I don’t remember, six months ago or so. So to be specific, there is a world where rarely, but occasionally, I have to create a PowerPoint, and I am horrible at it, or a Canva, some type of presentation thing. And we’re all well aware that to make those really good, you’re going to get better results
[06:04] for the people that are watching your presentation if you have pictures. Well, the old world is I used to go on to, and we had a paid account, you know, deposit photos, or eye shock, stutter, whatever, you know, whatever the thing is called. And I would look and look and look for an image that tried to convey what I’m trying to convey, and I would come up maybe 70%, 80% decent and plug that in, I had to go on because I’d already spent too much time looking at it. Just the other day, Todd and I, for a presentation that we were giving that night, wanted a Norman Rockwell style painting with 15 children at the table, and the youngest got the scraps, right? We were trying to convey what happens in the financial services world
[06:50] because all of the people, child one through 14, that get good results in the financial services arena before you, child 15, who gets the scraps. That’s the message we wanted to convey, right? Took about two minutes. This is in the paid chat GPT scenario. Understanding that it was Norman Rockwell, of course, right? But it also knows us. It knows that we’re positive thinkers. Now, Todd and I actually have separate GPTs, but it knows the language that we use, the perspective that we take, because we’ve been feeding it now for six months or so, and it came up with an utterly amazing photo, copy-paste, done, didn’t have to worry about anything as it related to trademarks or copyrights, and more importantly, it specified the exact message
[07:42] that we wanted, not 70% of the message. I love it. That is where we are right now today. And the AI and robots, it’s going to make our lives so much more meaningful. Amazing. So where do you see it being applied gradually right now in your community? Because you’re in the prosperity thinking community. So how are you seeing people slightly apply it? Well, even the free chat GPT is an amazing collaborator for anything written. So if you’re the kind of person that loves taking the first 80% approach, I learned this from Dan Sullivan so long ago, and it’s been so valuable for so many years. Figure out, are you the kind of person that likes to take the first 80% approach, and then somebody else does the second 80% approach,
[08:47] which gets you to 96%, which is good enough for most stuff? Or are you the kind of person that would rather somebody else take the first 80% approach and you’ll take the second 80% approach? Well, either way, chat GPT, the free version, so please do this. If you have not done this, go sign up for the free version of chat GPT or any other thing, you know, whatever your thing is, fix one, and I would encourage you to kind of stay focused if you’re just starting out and use it. And figure it out, are you wanting to do the first 80% or the second and let it do the opposite, and you will have amazing results in the most unbelievable short period of time to then go on and do whatever it is that you’re going to do with that written material.
[09:37] It could be an email, it could be a series of emails, it could be a talk, it could be a letter. I mean, it could be anything that is actual, normal, either pen to paper or fingers on the keyboard, and it will be valuable to you. Now, if you want to take it one step further, as stated, pay the 20 bucks a month, start to train it on your own thinking, feed it. I mean, I have fed it all of my books, and chat GPT is not writing my next book, I am, but it will help me do it, and that’s the key. Oh, so good. And for listeners that have kids, now is the time to get them to learn that language. In our next episode, we’ll be talking more about kids and some of the jobs that they can do. One last thing in our pre-interview
[10:23] as we were piecing together a few things. You mentioned that there are a few jobs or things that people can do that pay decent so that we can be of service, be working. What are those resources? So I would love, if anybody is curious about that, to send them to you. So I found a very specific LinkedIn post from a gentleman whose name is escaping me right now, but I will source it when I send you the data from it. He collected 10 specific places where people could earn $80 an hour, and let’s say only five of them are accurate. Who cares? Working from home. $80 an hour working from home. And that’s the kind of thing that could probably be done two, three, four days a week, and we want you to serve,
[11:13] so you’re going to pick ones that really resonate with you. And this is really sometimes the only difference that people need to, instead of being underwater with their personal finances, being over water. In other words, having more money than they need to live so that they can then live the lives that they want to do. Maybe it’s a stay-at-home parent, maybe you’re living down in your life right now where you can’t really be all in a particular space, but serve in a little bit so that you can earn a little bit so that you can completely flip your finances and earn enough money to save some money and live your life as well. And last week we were also doing a live presentation where we had an entire workbook around this idea
[11:59] because it’s what people need to be doing if they think they want to retire. That’s fine. If you need to step out of your corporate job that’s sucking your soul and killing 70 hours a week because of commutes and everything else, awesome. I understand that. And find something that you can do 30 hours a week that you will love to do, and not everybody loves to work from home, but a lot of people really can and can create such good, keep their minds active, keep their physical selves involved, and earn some money so that they can make the finances work because we must continue to serve and we must continue to earn. I love it. We’ll put, I think you said an email is best. Hello at Prosperity Thinkers.
[12:42] Kim will send that to you. That’s for you. That’s special for Prosperity Thinker listeners. So hello at Prosperity Thinkers. We’ll get you the report on the $80 an hour jobs. Bigger than that, it’s really just going in, like getting ahead of this. I know we’ve talked about AI and chat GPT for a long time. It’s because it’s the future, and that’s where we think.
