[00:01] Welcome to the Prosperity Podcast. Prosperity thinkers, welcome to the podcast. As we are wrapping up the year and starting a new year, there are so many things that we can be grateful for. There are so many things of examples of prosperity around us. So, Kim, I want you to lead us and we’ll talk about these pieces and talk about what we are going to be doing to have the most prosperous next new year. Well, it is all beginning in your thinking, and that’s why our organization is called Prosperity Thinkers. And yet, I know how hard that is sometimes. And so, this is a fabulous time of year to carve out a little bit of quiet time, a little bit of gratitude time, and do it with yourself, do that discussion, that journaling,
[00:51] that conversation, that game playing, you name it, with your family and with significant others and with friends and with team members, because it is what is going to pull us forward into 2023, which arguably is going to have some challenges in it. And so, having your thinking very grounded, as spiritually focused as possible, as inspirationally focused, if that word works better for you, setting aside a lot of the material trappings, really focusing on relationships and humans and conversation and gratitude and whatever brings you joy is the message that I want to have. And that is what is going to pull us forward and have us overcome any types of complexity that 2023 may bring, whether it’s whatever political conversation is happening at the time
[01:54] or it might be a financial challenge that is occurring to you, sometimes that’s too little, sometimes it’s too much money, or a relationship issue that needs a little bit of extra work, good prosperity thinking now will give you the fuel to race ahead in a humbly, confident, capable way into the new year. Excellent. I want to set the stage with a few things so that we can get to know you and how you think. I think this would be really helpful. So, and set kind of a couple of constraints in place. So, I work really well with constraints, and I feel like a lot of people do as well. Constraints are that I don’t think a lot of money needs to be spent in order to get us to a state of mind to be thinking this way.
[02:49] Do you agree? Absolutely. In fact, I would really encourage people to get to the state of mind without any material steps at all, because it doesn’t take the perfect journal, it doesn’t take the perfect location, it doesn’t take the perfect present to shift your mind, and your mind can shift immediately. And so, know that and find your path to get that mental shift so that you truly can have faith, whether it’s faith in your finances or faith in the relationships or faith in the progress or faith in the fact that prosperity will govern. Those are all mental constructs. So, knowing you and what you’ve shared on the podcast, there are two examples I’m going to use that don’t cost you any money
[03:40] and take a little bit of time to put you into a good state. So, one, Kim, unbeknownst to all of our listeners probably know this, Kim still likes to work, physically work. So, you walk to the barn because you have work to do, is that right? Oh, so true. And I think any kind of physical action, including jumping jacks at your desk, can do for your body what will then happen to your mind, which is to be awake, alive, and forward moving. Perfect. And then a second activity or thing you like to do to get your mind to come back and to be prosperous is being within the dog. Tell us about that. Well, as many people know, having a dog, working with a dog, owning a dog, loving a dog just brings so much joy,
[04:28] even when you have to overcome the got to get up at night or not following my instructions to sit, stay, lay, whatever it is. And so, it’s something that we can really remember. A dog lives in the moment, and we can use their example for how to truly be happy and at peace. And so, I’m always grateful for Imadog, the great Dane, who just does dog. So, we’ve talked about some of the things that you’ve done, and where I want to bring that around is, are you taking the time when you’re with Imadog to write in a journal, or is it that as you walk to the barn to go do some physical work, you’re starting to see that movie play out in your mind? What does that look like for you? Well, for me, the physical activity is something that I choose to do first
[05:19] because it tends to really wake my body and my brain up. Now, I will admit to occasionally sitting, usually with Imadog, on the couch or on the floor or leaning up against her, out in the field even sometimes, in a quiet physically-oriented space. Yet, I feel that the movement physically creates movement of thought. And so, I tend to tie those two together. I’ve not ever been a really good journal writer, but I do have some spiritual things that I like to read, and those are really best done not walking. So, the two go together, but I tend to start with the physical because of the action and the waking up nature of that. And besides that, the alpacas want to get fed in the morning, so it tends to work well together.
[06:09] Absolutely. And then to wrap this out, from the past you’ve explained, now you’ve got the physical, you’re getting the mind in place, the prosperity piece, often you go to gratitude. So, I want to wrap the episode out with some things that you’re grateful for, knowing that we’ve had the holidays, we’re coming into a new year, we want to be as prosperous as possible. Please share your gratitude with our listeners. Oh, so happy. Well, really, Spencer, it starts with you because our podcast is one of the favorite things that I do for our community, which is the second thing, so our listeners and, of course, our readers as well. And then beyond that, our team because the Teresa’s and the Rayann’s and the Mimi’s
[06:52] and the Elizabeth’s and the Michaela’s and the Katie’s that do so much of the good work in our community, so, so valuable. Janet’s another one, Gabe’s another one. Of course, my husband, Todd Langford of Truth Concepts, my kids, Robbie Kaley, and their respective spouses, significant others, and also Todd’s kids, Jessica and Jake. And my sister, Tammy Brannon, who you know very well and is such an integral part of all of the good that occurs. I love it, Kim. You did one other thing in there, which you showed us how easy it was to go to gratitude. And I think that is a foundation of everything. There was no hesitancy, not even for a second. It was just boom, boom, boom. For all of you listeners, I’m very grateful for Kim.
[07:46] I’m grateful for all of you. I’m grateful to have these conversations. We hope that you have the most prosperous year ever.
