[00:01] Welcome to the Prosperity Podcast. Prosperity thinkers, welcome to the podcast. We’re gonna be talking about the Prosperity Pledge. I feel like I’m at scout camp again. I’m like lined up and I’m ready. So let’s do this. Well, it’s such a fun word. And that’s why we named it the Prosperity Pledge because it gives people the benefits of the act of making a pledge, right? It causes us to think about our money in a way that is the same kind of idea that the Scout Pledge or the 4-H Pledge or fill in the blank caused us to do about our behavior and our mindsets. Isn’t it wonderful? Like it’s that simple. It’s those words that we take on and they become a part of us and we can say it. And now principally based,

[00:56] we know what direction we’re going in. It’s not so rigid that we have all of these rules to follow. It’s a guiding principle to go by. So give a quick backstory if you can. And then I wanna dive into the pieces of the pledge. Absolutely. So the fun backstory is actually a brand new pledge member that just came to us. Yet this will give you the reason that we created it. People buy whole life insurance or they have a whole bunch of IRAs or they have a bunch of fill in the blank types of assets and they don’t understand how they’re all integrated together. So we had a family reach out to us. They had bought three whole life insurance policies. Their agent was no longer in the business and they wanted me to look at them

[01:49] and give them guidance as to what some of their next steps are. And often a big question that comes up around the whole life is it set up right? And so most of the time it is, people can be confident about that, but every now and then I’ll see something that I can improve. So rather than just helping these people one time, we’re giving them an opportunity to get involved where they can see all of their assets together holistically. That’s one of the really big benefits of the pledge. So stepping back, I just took a look at my 30 year career of helping people with their personal finances and I realized that there’s always been two major missing pieces around the personal financial realm. And the first I have made stabs at

[02:42] throughout probably the last 20 years, this technology, that system, this structure at pulling together all of a person’s assets, liabilities, insurances, and income and expenses on a single piece of paper. So those are the five main areas of personal finance, all the assets, all the liabilities, all of the income, all the expenses, and all of the insurances, the protection component. And so inside the pledge, our members get what’s called a WealthView 360, which is an automatically generated one page piece of paper that shows all five of those areas of personal finance altogether. So here we’ve got this family that’s reached out to us. They wanna make sure their whole life insurance is quote right and quote, what do we do next with it?

[03:37] But they’re also gonna get the benefits of seeing everything together. Does that make sense? Absolutely. Okay. And then the other backstory around personal finances that I have never been able to get my hands around until just within the last three or four years. And that is really good cashflow control. So I find that whether people own businesses or they’re just running their household as a business, which is a really good idea, cashflow control, money in, money out, right? Every two weeks, every month, every however often we’re getting paid. And then you have the weird times with quarterly bonuses and all the various things, investment income that comes in twice a year, whatever it is, cashflow control

[04:27] makes a massive difference for families. And so we have finally figured out the best way to get cashflow control into our family’s hands. And it is a particular structure that is offered only to our pledge members so that they can walk away literally within 30 to 60 days, feeling and knowing and actually having cashflow control. Did you know that in 2025, the year 2025, we actually, those of us that get paid every two weeks, so we would normally have 26 pay periods, right? There’s actually 27 in the year 2025. It’s like the only year in forever that there’ve been 27 pay periods because of some weird anomaly with the way the dates are. What do you think will happen to most people’s 27th paycheck?

[05:28] Oh, it’s gonna get blown because it’s not tracked, exactly. It’ll get blown along with the other two extra paychecks because technically we pay our bills once a month, which is in essence 24 paychecks, but most of us get 26 paychecks. So those two paychecks get blown also along with those families that earn more than the social security limit. So in the fall, we’ve got extra money, that money gets blown, bonus money gets blown, tax refunds get blown, 401k overages get blown. Again, in the fall, if we earn a certain amount of money, all of this money gets blown because we don’t have cash flow control. So if you’re listening to this and seeking cash flow control, check out our Prosperity Pledge membership

[06:14] because I will absolutely with certainty provide you a structure to get cash flow control underneath your realm of control once and for all. We literally will have you use this the rest of your life. That is so cool. And I think what’s fascinating about the cash flow control is that once a person, and I’ve seen it because I’ve taught it to others, once a person catches it, they realize it’s like adopting a new language. That’s the way that they operate moving forward. This might not be perfect, but they understand it. And then you get in the habit. And then the tools that you’re talking about are what keep you tethered in. Yep. And in today’s world, it’s really very simple, but it’s not easy.

[07:12] And so if you can just take the first few steps, then it becomes easier. I’m curious, as we talk about pledge, do you remember what the 4-H pledge was? I don’t, I don’t know what it is. The 4-H pledge? No, but it has something to do with hands, heart, health, whatever the actual 4-Hs are. Yeah. Okay. That’s a great question. But no, I don’t remember what the pledge is either. I’m not as good as the Boy Scouts who can always repeat that or is like at the call. Yeah, we had Scout Camp and every single year, every single meeting, we had to repeat that. Every single year, every single meeting, we had to repeat. And you start out, I think the correlation I’m making is you start out as a Cub Scout

[07:58] and then you become a Boy Scout and then you become an explorer when you’re helping. The same thing is happening in this prosperity pledge, meaning you might start as parents and then you’re teaching your kids and then, or teaching grandkids and it’s a generational thing and it’s not perfection on day one, it’s progress. And so for any of you listeners that are looking to get that progress with your finances, but with your prosperity, please send an email. It’s a special email only for podcast listeners. It’s hello at prosperitythinkers.com. Special just for you podcast listeners. Send an email and you can get a direct link to the pledge and you can get additional information that’ll help you and your family.
