Prosperity Pets consists of a series of stories that provide lessons concerning prosperity. Kim shares the unique idea behind a stuffed pet that is an exact replica of her dog, Emma, leading the hosts to connect it with the idea of Prosperity Pets. The primary aim of these stories is to teach children and adults alike the importance of being prosperity thinkers, akin to pets that pull out positivity and live in the moment. The intention is to combine the fun and engaging nature of pets with the substantial principles of prosperity.

[00:01] Welcome to the Prosperity Podcast. Prosperity thinkers, welcome to the podcast. This is going to be one of the coolest episodes because it’s one that we have worked on for months and months and months, introducing the Prosperity Pets. Kim, you showed me at the beginning, right before we hit record, something really special for all of you video listeners or social media followers out there, Kim is going to show something that is absolutely amazing. So, yes, this is show and tell time. And so if you’re listening in the car, you’re going to want to log back into YouTube or wherever you go to see the video of this podcast. So maybe we can put in the show notes or something, the video, because I have on
[00:48] display for you a stuffed Emma dog. Now, don’t worry. She’s still living. We didn’t, you know, we didn’t kill her to stuff this thing. This is done by a company called Petsy’s and it might be my Petsy’s dot com. I’ll grab us all the link. This was not an inexpensive little stuffed animal. However, it is a true Emma dog. We sent two sides of a picture of her and of course, front. So she has her little special paws, her white and her gray paws. And they made me a stuffed Emma dog that I get to love and Emma dogs like in the back room sleeping right now. Oh, that is amazing. So here’s something that is truly remarkable. We have this stuffed animal of Emma dog, but we also have a book. This is called Prosperity Pets and Prosperity Pets is a series of stories, not only
[01:53] for children, I think it’s also going to be helpful for adults. Help us understand it a little bit and then we’re going to get into the meat of this chem. Well, you came up with the idea of the prosperity pets and as much as I love alliteration and pets, I can’t believe that this is something that now after I don’t know how long working with you, we’re finally just coming upon because it makes so much sense. And the reason it makes sense is that animals are immediate prosperity thinkers. You know, just think about a dog or an alpaca or a cat. They live for the moment. They’re always pulling the good out. They’re happy to see you no matter what. And so I love the idea of the prosperity pets.
[02:38] I’m so grateful that you and your son Zane spent some time on our farm videoing drone taking pictures of the pets because of the good things that we can learn. And so what the prosperity pets series of stories did is combine the idea of the pets and the fun animals on our farm with the seven principles of prosperity that we’ve literally worked with for over 30 years and put them in a way that children of all ages can benefit from. I like to say like from six to 96 or whatever age frame you want to choose to look at, just like a good Disney film has things that the children learn from, but also fun and learning for adults, our prosperity pets book does that. And I know there will be some video that goes with it as well.
[03:35] Absolutely. So as you mentioned about the principles of prosperity, the first book is about the principle of think. And so without giving the story away, the ring leader of the pets is Emma. And she’s the wise leader that helps these animals go throughout their adventures and we’ll call it mishaps and misadventures of finding ways to think and solve their problems and create prosperity. What’s absolutely amazing about this is that it’s something that our younger listeners, our family members, younger readers can grasp onto. And because my children are homeschooled and you’re also big proponent into homeschooling, learning, reading. We’ve added additional pieces to it that there’s activities, there’s
[04:39] learning, there’s, I know the dreaded word homework, things that can happen. So that it’s almost like a homeschool curriculum in many ways. So help us understand that a little bit more. Well, I do adore homeschooling communities. And even if you’re not homeschooling, your kids are in public school. There is so much good that can be done in the home as it relates to rounding out the education that your children are getting or your grandchildren. And so for us, it’s so important to catch children when they’re at that. Even three to five year age range, but clearly in the more six to, I’m going to say maybe 12 or 13, where they’re still thinking that your parents are smart and willing to listen to you or again, if it’s
[05:30] grandchildren or nieces and nephews, whatever, because the learning that goes on around money is so critical at this age. And so homeschoolers or parents that are paying attention and adding to their children’s schooling environment can start to address monetary issues. Literally as soon as a kid is two or three years old and going to a store and expressing wants of various things. And then when they get into that, you know, five, six year range, and if they’re at school and they’re starting to now compare, Oh, you know, my friend has this or that it starts to bring up monetary discussions. And it’s at a time that children can start to learn the value of work, the value of what five cents is compared to a dollar, what a dollar
[06:19] is to $5, et cetera. There’s so much good that can go on there. And so as alert brain on parents, whether we’re homeschooling or not as grandparents that want to be engaged with our children. I just read something the other day, a grandparent was saying, I finally realized that my grandchild just enjoys spending time with me and it really doesn’t matter what we do. What matters is that we’re conversing. And so if we can provide you some topics to converse about that are fun, then that’s where learning occurs and Spencer, you and I’ve talked about the gravy stack app and debit card that’s associated with that, how valuable that is for all three generations, our perpetual wealth book, so valuable for all three generations, our family legacy
[07:07] game, our workbook, and now what prosperity pets does is just round this out so that we’re also teaching mindset because mindset can be taught again, at any age mindset is often better taught by grandparents and aunts and uncles because they don’t have the parental role. And so a child often pays attention to the messages that come from a grandparent or an aunt and uncle, or, you know, community member, a family friend, whatever that can share wisdom and the prosperity pets is the mindset aspect of wisdom. And of course it’s always more fun with pets than just a, a tough discussion or, you know, a teaching element that doesn’t have an animal included with it, because of course it’s more fun with an animal
[07:56] included. It is, it really is. I mean, there was, there was a lot of psychological work and marketing and like a lot of pieces to make this happen because you’re right. We can relate to animals. We can relate to the stories they’re going through. And you mentioned that it’s the, the thinking that happens. I had a recent conversation with one of our developers that works for one of our companies and he had, and I’ll wind back the clock, probably six weeks ago, and he sent me a message and said, Hey, I want to figure out what I can do to one day become rich and wealthy. And so I shared a few things. And of course I shared links to podcasts and, you know, books and information, and I followed up last week with the conversation.
[08:48] I said, Hey, how’s it going? And I said, did you start listening? You know what the answer was? No, he didn’t. And he goes, because I don’t have any money yet. I haven’t started listening. And I said, no, no, you have to get this right first before the other things happen. The pets. Yes. Yes. The head is not watching. Yes. You have to get your mind right. And that’s what this prosperity pets does. It’s so wonderful for kids. So for all of you listeners that are looking for another tool, we have books like the Tuttle Twins and they’re wonderful. I own the whole series. You own it as well. They’re great. Gravy stack, as you mentioned, wonderful. We want something that’s prosperity thinking in a world that’s like
[09:40] doom and gloom or in a world that’s uncertain prosperity is something that will live the test of time. What is also so cool about prosperity is it can begin today. And that’s what you were telling your developer. The prosperity thinking is where the starting line is. And if you look at somebody that’s wealthy, you have to ask, did they get their money first or their mindset first? And I guarantee you 99% of the time they got their mindset first. And that’s the coolest thing because working on your mindset is literally free. The podcasts are free. And at the most it’s a $9 Kindle book. Right. And so for anybody out there, the ability to start to work on prosperity begins today because it can be mindset and thinking first.
[10:38] And then the second part of it is right where your checking account is. Everybody has a checking account with a debit card. You may have a credit card and you have ideally at least some income or you’re working to gain some income. That is also where prosperity starts. And so we also have for, so gravy stack is for kids, but we have the currents app and account, the structure of currents C U R R E N C E, which is going to develop the cash flow habits that are necessary for prosperity to build. And this is by invitation only. It is specifically for people that are really ready to get serious about their cashflow. It is a better way to build prosperity and even better way I should say than budgeting, which we actually have some proof of does not
[11:34] work and that’s where people first often want to go, but what currents drives is the save first mentality that has literally been in existence since humans and money started coming together. You can go back to like the richest man in Babylon or, you know, reading things from the depression era, the people that saved first drove that behavior. And so that is an additional tool, a structure that we have available to help people develop prosperity, but it’s got to start with the thinking. It absolutely does. You said something that made me want to push back on just one little piece because I’m not certain, which you said, if we ask everyone that’s got wealth, it all starts in their mind with prosperity.
[12:25] And I agree with that except one little piece, because there are some families that have an exorbitant amount of wealth that they create it. And as mentioned in perpetual wealth, some families, they’re so disconnected, meaning it’s typically call it third generation, not second, but third, where they just received the benefit, the blessings of it, but they didn’t see the labor of it. And more than likely it, unless it’s a ridiculous amount of wealth, like oil money kind of thing, it’s probably going to be gone. And so let’s take, you know, that’s the exception to the rule. Tie that in with one comment you made, which is on budgeting. And I would say that the conversation that we are having, the proactive
[13:17] conversation is you’re saying it starts in your mind, but a retroactive is our mind can play games. And sometimes retroactively we can say, Oh yeah, well, I actually budgeted and that’s how I became wealthy, but it’s not the case. Have you seen that as well? Like we’ll play a game with our mind and think that the budgeting or maybe we think that we got the wealth and then we became thinking this way. Is that, have you seen that happen as well? Absolutely. You know, the same hindsight is 2020. It’s really easy to look back and identify a path. And yet for most people, that is a inaccurate perception and a common one. I just read an article about a granddaughter that received $30 million. Didn’t want the money was feeling guilty, shameful.
[14:08] I mean, all kinds of messes. And that’s a clear example where she got the money before the mindset. She was not prepared for wealth in perpetuity. And so with our wealthier families, interestingly enough, as you’ve heard me say so many times, cashflow issues do not go away. They just get bigger zeros on them. And so even a wealthy family thinks sometimes, especially that third generation or fourth, that budgeting is the necessary thing and it’s not. It’s saving first that got them the results. And yes, there’s always exceptions like an oil deal or a business deal or what have you. And the habits are not brought into play up front. There’s literally no amount of money that can solve the problem.
[15:01] All you have to do is go back and look at families like the Vanderbilts that were wealthy for two or three or four generations. And then essentially lost it either due to taxes or inappropriate behavior or just the natural fact of the family getting larger and larger and larger. I mean, there’s family reunions that have over a hundred heirs. And so when you start to divide things up that many times, you’re going to have an impact on it. But again, it’s the thinking and the habits that get instilled, that enable perpetual wealth to be perpetual. Absolutely. And what a fun way to learn about this through Emma and her friends on the farm that are thinking prosperously, that are teaching these things.
[15:53] Maybe it could be something complex as a paradigm shift in our thinking, or it could be something as simple as solving a problem through a kid’s story. But that’s what we’re presenting to you. So you’ll have access to the book, which is full of beautiful colors, graphics, wonderful story activities related to it. And Kim’s even read the book so that you can hear that. I suggest you can consume all of it and hopefully sit down as a grandparent, parent, aunt or uncle and read it with the children as well. So I’m excited for this. This is something we’ve been doing for months and months and months. And it’s wonderful to announce it to the world. Thank you for listening to the Prosperity Podcast.
